The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) and the signatories of MoC conducted the 6th plenary meeting and technical visit in Hong Kong (LINK Control Hub at Temple Mall) on 25 November 2024 to share valuable experience in RCx between different regions/areas. Progress of the below three aspects has been reviewed and discussed, key issues are summarized below:-
(i) Technical Task Force
- "RCx Technical Guidelines for the retro-commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems of existing buildings in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area" has been published and uploaded to RCx Resources Centre.
- RCx successful cases have been uploaded to RCx Resources Centre.
(ii) Manpower Task Force
- Since 2019, more than 2,500 nos. of people have attended RCx training courses, and more than 700 nos. of people have successfully registered as RCx professionals and RCx practitioners.
- RCx training has been extended to Macao, RCx practitioner (level 1 and level 2) training courses were conducted on 31 August 2024 and 14 September 2024.
(iii) Promotion Task Force
- Sharing session of “Wise Save @RCx competition” was conducted to encourage the trades to work together to enhance energy efficiency and conservation in buildings with the application of RCx and innovation and technology (I&T).
“Intelligent Energy Saving Contest for Buildings in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area" will be conducted in 2025, and the progress of the Contest has been discussed.
