The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) and the signatories of MoC conducted the 5th plenary meeting and technical visits to RCx pilot projects in Guangzhou (Pearl River City and Taikoo Hui) on 14 and 15 April 2023 to share valuable experience in RCx between different regions/areas. Progress of the below three aspects have been reviewed and discussed, key issues are summarized below:-

1. Technical

• Consultation draft of "RCx Technical Guidelines in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area" has been completed and is now seeking expert comments.

2. Manpower task force

• RCx training for RCx professional and RCx practitioner (level 2) would be extended from English and Cantonese to English, Cantonese and Putonghua in Q3 of 2023.

3. promotion task force

• “Wise Save @RCx competition” was conducted to encourage the trades to work together to enhance energy efficiency and conservation in buildings with the application of RCx and innovation and technology (I&T).
• RCx promotion movie has been completed and uploaded to RCx resources centre.

China Association of Building Energy Efficiency (CABEE) was also invited to join the above meeting. CABEE expressed their interest in joining the above MoC and could serve as a platform to promote RCx within GBA/China.
